Ceremonies for Your Life
BAPTISMS

Baptisms are another service which I thoroughly enjoy.  I baptize with rose
petals, but I am open to using water.  I am not of the school that dives right
in, it will ruin my outfit, and so I don’t do rivers and pools.  I will baptize
anyone of any age.  I use the term “a Perfect Child of God,” as that is what
I believe each of us is, a perfect manifestation of the One.  Kids tend to
love the rose petals and are not a bit concerned about their use.  There
have been expressions of concern about water.  I suppose they think it is
yucky.

I believe, even in an infant, that on some level each person knows and
processes all that they hear, for this reason I like to affirm the most
positive words that I can for the one being baptized.

I do not believe in “original sin”, rather I believe that we make choices on a
day-to-day basis.  Because I believe in multiple lifetimes, I think that our
choices today are based on experiences that may reach back to the dawn
of time, and that everything we go through colors our next series of
choices.  So I don’t baptize to remove sin, because I don’t believe it is
there.  God is love, true and constant, and my forgiveness is unnecessary
as God's is already in place.

I also provide you with a copy of the ceremony and a baptismal certificate,
suitable for framing.  This allows each person to look back and remember,
even under the most trying of circumstances, that we are each a Perfect
Child of God, no matter what happens.

I often do multiple baptisms, as families may need to play catch-up.  These
days so many families are a blend of varying religious backgrounds, and
often they have not found a spiritual home where they are comfortable.  In
the absence of a church or place of worship, they have few choices
available when they wish for their children to be baptized.  I am here to
provide a solution.

If there are to be Godparents, which is entirely at your discresion, please
give me their names so that I may include them in the ceremony.

Most of the baptisms I perform are done in the home and precede the
party by only a few moments.  Though a party is not necessary, I have
observed that having the children baptized is a great relief to the
grandmothers, who often have been worried about it for sometime, so they
are ready to celebrate!  Needless to say, the kids love having a
celebration of any sort, and one that is centered around them is just the
ticket.

I live in Central Western New Jersey and have included a map on the site
so that you may calculate the distance from me to your baptismal site.  My
rates depend on distance and number of baptisms and begin at $85 for
one baptism, plus $1.50 per mile both ways.  If I have to travel 25 miles to
reach you, the mileage is $75.  Each additional baptism at the same time
is $25 per person.

Feel free to email me with your inquiry. I can be contacted at
info@rev4hire.com.  Please use the word "baptism," "wedding," or
"rev4hire" in the subject line.  I get so much SPAM that my finger can be a
bit too fast on the delete button, so be sure to include that subject line.  I
will respond within a couple of days.
