OTHER CEREMONIES
I am happy to perform other ceremonies as well as weddings and baptisms. Vow
Renewals, or as someone recently mentioned, “Wedding Re-enactments,”
are available. Some people want to use the same type of ceremony they had
the first time, others wish for a revised set of guidelines. Whatever your choice,
I am happy to accommodate.
Hand-Fasting has gained popularity across the country in recent years. This is
a traditional Scottish rite, binding the couple as husband and wife, sort of, for a
year and a day. It is really a trial marriage, and if at the end of the 366-day
period, one or the other partner is dissatisfied, he or she may walk away and the
partnership is null and void. If they choose to stay, then the wedding was
considered legal and binding.
Courts in this country are not so considerate. If a couple chooses to remain
together after the trial period, a properly conducted wedding ceremony, and
license, are required.
House Blessings are something at which I excel. I love to bless a new home,
clear the air, and make sure that all the unseen forces surrounding it are
working in accord. If something traumatic has happened at the site, before or
after you moved in, say three hundred years ago or back in the 1940’s, my work
will ensure that the emotional impact of that event or events is gone.
If you have unseen visitors who are crowding your space, I can help with that as
well. I have a national reputation as a ghost buster. For this service, the fees
do not depend upon the distance from my home, as a house call is not
necessary. Please inquire.
Commitment Ceremonies or Civil Unions are also within the scope of what I
do.
I live in Central Western New Jersey and have included a map on the site so that
you may calculate the distance from me to the site of your ceremony. My rates
depend on distance and number of other factors.
